Obnots is a team that has created a short movie for the Boston 48 Hour Film Project every year since 2004.  The 48 Hour Film Project is a worldwide filmmaking competition where teams have just 48 hours (Friday 7pm - Sunday 7pm) to make a 4 to 7 minute long movie. On Friday, each team draws a genre out of a hat and receives the required elements: the line of dialogue, prop, and character. Joed Polly and Jeff Mission founded the team, but over the years many talented and creative friends have joined to write, act, work behind the scenes, and collaborate. We completed our fourteenth movie, The War of Two Sides, in June 2017.

Team Obnots did a crazy thing this year – we had a crew in Somerville, MA and also one in Fairbanks, AK, brainstorming and shooting from both locations. Believe it or not, we were on time for our fourteenth movie! We got ‘war or anti-war movie’ as our genre. We also had to use a bracelet as the prop, the line of dialogue “I couldn’t have said it better myself“, and the character 'Lauren or Lawrence Soto, Mentor'. Hop aboard for a journey through the serious and the absurd. This is version 1.1, with a few minor adjustments. This film screened at the 48HFP Best Of Boston screening and we won 'Best Cinematography' and were also nominated for: Best Actor (Raif), Best Costumes, Best Use of Dialogue, Best Use of Genre, and Best Script. Outtakes coming soon!
